Hate Filled Right

I’m an avid conservative talk radio listener and I watch a lot of news and read quite a bit of political banter. It’s rather common for conservatives to refer to Democrats as the party of hate or the angry party. Talk radio will usually play a sound bite of Hillary screeching about being “sick and tired” or Al Gore going off the deep end about Bush, “he betrayed our country, he played on our fears”. It has become increasingly obvious to most of us that the liberal ideology, especially the activist liberal ideology, is outdated and in the minority. Perhaps it’s because I go to work everyday and associate with healthy responsible people but I know many more conservative thinkers than moonbat liberals. They are certainly outnumbered; however they screech the loudest and draw the most attention. Liberal media gushes all over a screecher and I think that it gives them a certain amount of credibility simply because it makes them look passionate about an issue.

Like many of my peers, I’m deeply disturbed by a number of issues today. I’m only one of millions of people who were raised in patriotic blue collar families. We grew up Christians, our grandparents and parents taught us values, we celebrated Flag Day and said the Pledge of Allegiance in school. I was a child that was told how lucky I was to be born free in America. I sat amongst my peers at Fourth of July picnics, watched fireworks, said pre-game Pop Warner football game prayers and went to church on Sunday. I was taught that policemen were my friends and was told to call them “sir”. I sat on my grandmother’s lap and sang Jesus Loves Me when I was three years old. I find it very difficult to believe that I am among the minority. I find it difficult to believe that a majority of people go along with the lies and propaganda produced by liberals. I also grow increasingly irritated at the complacency among the millions of people like me. People need to wake up and pay attention to what those people are trying to do to our way of life. Democrats are not the only ones that are angry. I feel anger every day. I’m filled with hate for those responsible for the death of thousands upon thousands of unborn children in the name of privacy. I’m repulsed by the idea of special civil rights being created for minority groups that have never existed for anyone else. I detest the federal government having the ability to arbitrarily decide how much of my income they need to take away without justifying an end or even producing any kind of balance sheet to justify their tax and spend philosophy. I loath the blatant lies being fostered by groups like the AARP, the NAACP, and the ACLU. I resent the persecution of Christians and Christian values while Muslim and Wiccan ideals are protected and taught in our schools under the guise of equality. I object to the biased media that refuses to report the news without injecting opinion and accusation. I condemn the flood of illegal immigrants pouring into our country under the nose of those whose original soul purpose was to protect us from harm. I grow tired of the spineless Republican Party that simply will not drop the gloves and fight for what they supposedly stand for.

I believe that most Americans will deal with being shoved around occasionally by liberals as long as they have someone representing their side to the issues. If the Republican Party doesn’t start representing the common patriotic American with integrity and values, more and more Americans will wake up angry and realize that, although we’re millions strong, we’re all alone in the government and in the media. It’s time for the majority party to fight for Americans. It’s time to get angry and it’s time to hate those whose socialist policies and hunger for power would devour this country. It’s time for the Republicans to say what needs to be said and to stop being so careful. Remember what type of American citizen supports our military. Remember where most of our military men and women come from. Remember those who fight like rabid dogs to protect our second amendment rights. Remember the kind of men that sacrificed their lives for the freedom and system of government that we all enjoy. Where is the representation for these people? Is the Republican Party willing to fight for these Americans? Is the Republican Party willing to take the political risk to satisfy those who have put them in the majority? There is a growing number of Americans that get more and more fed up with those who would strive to undo our greatness and compromise our faith, values, and culture. Liberal socialists are badgering a culture of freedom that was and is perfectly willing to die for what they cherish most. It’s time the silent majority got some representation from the so-called conservative Republican Party. It’s time our true voice is heard because I hate every single day, and I know I’m not alone.

Deviant Minority

Amongst all of the celebration and relief following the 2004 election, I couldn’t help but be bothered by an oppressive undertow of ill feelings. I don’t view George Bush as some kind of second coming or world savior. As a matter of fact, I’m quite unhappy about his liberal views on a couple of rather important issues. However, I agree with President Bush on 90% of his views and, in this political age, that’s way more than I could have hoped for. It’s not the President that is the source of my ire, it’s Congress.

The Republicans have the majority in both the House and the Senate and yet they are still helpless in the face of the democratic media machine. As a society, a great many of us have become soft, inattentive, and all too willing to have their opinions spoon fed to them from the television. We have become a society that is immersed in television’s version of reality. Our sense of morality, class, intelligence, heroism, love, and self is all derived from an ultra-processed and sensationalized can of pasteurized life-product. The frightening bottom line is that television is where most Americans get the intellectual fuel to determine what is right and wrong.

This being the case, as soon as the Democrats lost the majority, they simply geared up for sensationalism, lies, and cessation. They have become masters at playing to the media and the swarms of media fed human livestock. If you can’t win the debate or win the vote, smear the competition with caricatural overstatements and lies. I am absolutely amazed at the sheer volume of lies and obvious diversionary tactics that I see coming from the Democrats and their minions on television.

I have witnessed several television commercials run by the AARP regarding Bush’s supposed plans for Social Security that state blatant falsehoods and misrepresentations of fact. The recent debate over Bush’s nomination of John Bolton as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations has all been generated by a bunch of Democratic gossip and rumor spreading. The investigation of Tom Delay, the filibustering of judge nominations, and the list goes on and on. In every case, the Democrats plant some seed of trashy reality tv style doubt that has little or no basis in truth. Then they play this self-important, “we owe it to the people to look into this matter”, role. The media grabs the story and pretends to be all aflutter and trumpets it over the airwaves as if it all makes perfect sense and the livestock descends on the trough for their daily serving of slop.

It happens over and over and I’m just amazed at the sheer volume of Americans that are completely bamboozled by this buffoonery. The thing that really makes my stomach churn is that the Republicans are often at the trough with the rest of the animals. When are they going to understand that the Democrats will always look for a way to circumvent the truth? When will they realize that they’re in a fight for the life of the Republic? What will it take to get a handful of representatives that are less interested in their legacy and furthering their political career and more interested in representing the people that voted them into office in the first place?

As long as the media has no dignity and willingly spreads falsehoods, and as long as the Republican Party is willing to bow under the pressure like a bunch of saplings, the Democratic Party will continue to push its lies and socialist agenda and we will continue to be a complacent majority that is led by a deviant minority.

Earth Day

So I took a little jaunt over to earthday.net, not because I’m a concerned eco-terrorist who wants to educate my fellow man before I kill him, but because I’m snarky and I like to look for blog fodder. Anyhoo, they offer an “Ecological Footprint Quiz” to determine your impact on mother earth. I couldn’t resist…

They begin the “quiz” with a clickable map of the world, which upon mouse-over brings up a language menu (how quaint). I, of course, select the U.S. and then answer some questions regarding the type of area I live in and the population density and they attempt to snag your (optional) email address. After that the fun begins.

How often do you eat animal based products? (beef, pork, chicken, fish, eggs, dairy products)?
-Never
-Infrequently (no meat, and eggs/dairy a few times a week) (strict vegetarian)
-Occasionally (no meat or occasional meat, but eggs/dairy almost daily)
-Often (meat once or twice a week)
-Very often (meat daily)
-Almost always (meat and eggs/dairy in almost every meal)

Meat once or twice a week is “often”? So if I have a glass of milk every day and then just vegetables I fall in the “very often” category? I selected “Almost always” because, like most hopelessly consumptive Americans, I spend my capitalist dollars on meat with almost every meal. I was struck by the lack of any flexibility here. Either you’re a vegan, or you’re a flesh eating vampire sucking the earth dry of her precious resources.

Compared to people in your neighborhood, how much waste do you generate?
-Much less
-About the same
-Much more

Every Wednesday night, as I’m taking out the trash, I notice that we have quite a bit less than most other people on our street. There are only two of us living in the house and we’re talking about averages here so I’m not really comfortable saying that it’s “much less”. However, “about the same” doesn’t really do us justice either. I use the garbage disposal and fill our (stupid) recyclable containers every two weeks. The volume of refuse is less than “About the same” but in the eco-terrorist, err I mean environmentally conscious activist’s world, I suppose there is little difference.

Approximately how many hours do you spend flying each year?
-100 hours
-25 hours
-10 hours
-3 hours
-Never fly

So we go from 0 to 3 to 10 to 25 and then skip all the way to 100 hours? I fly for work, usually about once a month, sometimes to the West Coast. I’d say I fly easily more than 50 hours a year but I’d be lucky if I fly more than 100. So again, the vast majority of people taking this quiz will either “never fly” or are forced to choose “100 hours” because they fly more than 25 hours per year. I sense a theme…

There were several other questions, you’ll have to take the quiz yourself (it’s got some entertainment value anyway).

Here are my results:

“If everyone lived like you we would need 6.1 planets”. Actually, all of the people that I associate with act (mostly) like me and, I daresay, it is because of people like me that the earth’s human population has exploded to incredible numbers and is still comfortably supported by exactly 1 planet. As a matter of fact, as a whole, our record population lives much more comfortably than it did a thousand years ago when the population was much smaller, thanks in whole to consumptive and very productive people like me. So, in short, I guess I’ll take myself home where I plan to cook a couple of beautiful filet mignons over a propane grill and eat them in my temperature controlled house surrounded by my four carnivorous pet dogs probably watching a baseball game on my electric television. After that, I may follow my gasoline propelled lawn mower around my neatly trimmed, fertilized, and pest free lawn. Then I’ll probably use upward of 25 gallons of hot steaming water in my shower before retiring to bed for the evening and sleeping. Well…

Run Paula Run

“It's the issue that's on everyone's mind, but few can find the words to discuss it. In short, should Paula Radcliffe have gone?

The British marathon champion has sparked a furious, if hushed, debate on manners by going to the toilet midway through the London Marathon in front of millions of TV viewers around the world.

Radcliffe, who broke British hearts when she tearfully dropped out of the Athens Olympic marathon last year, shocked viewers and commentators alike when she pulled over to the side of the road and crouched.

Fans feared a humiliating repeat of her Grecian failure, when, as the hot favourite she staggered off the road and out of the race with cramps.

Instead, it was an embarrassment of an entirely different kind as the world record holder made a televised toilet stop.

She then quickly recovered her stride and romped to victory, breaking the line at Buckingham Palace in one of the fastest women's times in history.”

Article Here

Okay, so a female British marathon runner had to go pee bad enough to pop a squat on the side of the road, what’s the big deal? Is this really newsworthy?

“But while they had difficulty describing the act, few had trouble condemning it. "Paula's primitive actions left me disgusted," stormed self-proclaimed TV etiquette expert Jean Broke-Smith.”
So let me get this straight… The same Europeans that called us prude because we created such a stir about Janet Jackson showing her bare breast to millions of children during the Super Bowl halftime show are giving Paula Radcliffe a hard time for peeing during a 26 mile run? What would the headlines have read if she dropped out of the race because she had to find a discreet place to take a leak? I’ll guarantee there wouldn’t be the slightest bit of hub-bub if Radcliffe was a man. A male marathon runner peeing behind a tree would have most likely provided an entertaining photo op, but it certainly wouldn’t have been looked upon as scandalous. A lady’s gotta do what a lady’s gotta do. My hat is off to Ms. Radcliffe as I think most people have absolutely no idea what kind of sacrifices marathon runners endure in order to take part in their sport, let alone excel at it. I know a few people that have a hard time holding it for a 26 mile car ride. Give the poor girl a break.

All Pope All the Time

C&L Exclusive!!!

Prominent members of the Democratic Party expressed their discontent yesterday in protest of the selection of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger as Pope. Speaking to members of the media Tuesday, former Democratic Presidential Candidate and current Massachusetts Senator John Kerry raised questions about the results of the Papal Conclave. He cited instances of long lines at the ballot box and claimed that intimidation tactics may have swayed voting cardinals. Wife Theresa Heinz mumbled something about “gin soaked raisins” and the “mother machine” before being whisked away by Kerry aids. Democratic Senator from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy claimed that the Catholic Church was putting humanity at a greater risk by fighting the war against Satan. He claimed that Catholics are bogged down in a quagmire, not unlike Vietnam and demanded an exit strategy. Civil Rights Activist and Reverend Al Sharpton claimed that busloads of inner-city black Cardinals were spoofed by Republican flyers that claimed that the Papal Conclave was to take place inside St. Paul’s Baptist Community Church of Brooklyn instead of The Sistine Chapel of the Vatican City’s Apostolic Palace. California Senator Barbara Boxer claimed that Cardinal Ratzinger’s anti-abortion stance was, amazingly, brought on by direct biblical interpretation. She labeled the Cardinal as a right-wing extremist Pope and claimed that she was currently working with members of the ACLU to investigate accusations of religious zealotry within the Vatican. When asked her opinion of the new Pope House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi treated reporters to a darting, shocked, vacant stare for several moments before ducking into a nearby limousine. Chairman of the Democratic National Committee Howard Dean continued stirring the pot claiming, “I hate Catholics and everything they stand for”.

Ann Margaret

I received this chain letter in my email this morning from a good friend. I've never posted a chain letter before because you can never be sure of their authenticity. I checked this one on Snopes and they say it's true. That's good enough for me. I'm sure that I'm way late to the party on this (again). Don't care...

Richard, (my husband), never really talked a lot about his time in Viet Nam other than he had been shot by a sniper. However, he had a rather grainy, 8 x 10 black and white photo he had taken at a USO show of Ann Margaret with Bob Hope in the background that was one of his treasures.

A few years ago, Ann Margaret was doing a book signing at a local bookstore. Richard wanted to see if he could get her to sign the treasured photo so he arrived at the bookstore at 12 o'clock for the
7:30 signing. When I got there after work, the line went all the way around the bookstore, circled the parking lot and disappeared behind a parking garage. Before her appearance, bookstore employees announced that she would sign only her book and no memorabilia would be permitted. Richard was disappointed, but wanted to show her the photo and let her know how much those shows meant to lonely GI's so far from home. Ann Margaret came out looking as beautiful as ever and, as second in line, it was soon Richard's turn. He presented the book for her signature and then took out the photo. When he did, there were many shouts from the employees that she would not sign it. Richard said, "I understand. I just wanted her to see it." She took one look at the photo, tears welled up in her eyes and she said, "This is one of my gentlemen from Viet Nam and I most certainly will sign his photo. I know what these men did for their country and I always have time for 'my gentlemen.'" With that, she pulled Richard across the table and planted a big kiss on him. She then made quite a to-do about the bravery of the young men she met over the years, how much she admired them, and how much she appreciated them. There weren't too many dry eyes among those close enough to hear. She then posed for pictures and acted as if he were the only one there.

Later at dinner, Richard was very quiet. When I asked if he'd like to talk about it, my big strong husband broke down in tears. "That's the first time anyone ever thanked me for my time in the Army," he said. That night was a turning point for him. He walked a little straighter and, for the first time in years, was proud to have been a Vet. I'll never forget Ann Margaret for her graciousness and how much that small act of kindness meant to my husband. I now make it a point to say "Thank you" to every person I come across who served in our Armed Forces. Freedom does not come cheap and I am grateful for all those who have served their country.

A Few Moments Alone

Liars abide liars
Race, compassion, bastard dollars
Privilege begets authority
Ascendancy begets corruption

Swine sustaining the slop
Bearing down on filth
Reinvent the façade
Manipulate the impaired
To taint the truth

I stand
More than man above these boots
Forged longer and stronger
Embrace my abhorrence
Refuse to renounce

A few moments alone
From the flesh of my hands
Vehement intentions
Your stark final image
My pristine freedom

Vermin

April 14th finds a good many of us, once again, bending over and grabbing our ankles like good little comrades. Last night the misses and myself sat at the dining room table stuffing envelopes with W-2’s, 1099’s, and of course big fat checks. We wrote a check to the Federal gummint, we wrote a check to the Pennsylvania State gummint, we wrote a check to our local gummint, and then we wrote a second check for our 2005 1040-ES also to the Federal gummint.

In my thirty three years on this earth, I’ve never uttered the words “rat bastards” so many times. I’ve casually watched as those bloodsucking demons from hell’s backside vacuumed dollars out of my paycheck all year and the %$#@ democrats had the audacity to gripe about the irresponsible Bush tax cuts.

You would think that two college educated individuals would have the ability to sit down and do their federal and state taxes with relevant ease. You’d think that a governing body that expects their population to voluntarily take part in such self-mutilation would have the decency to make it as easy as possible if not somewhat painless. After hours, no days, squinting through the tears of anguish at TurboTax we finally threw our hands in the air and figured it was close enough. I simply refuse to continue to spend more of my time trying to figure out how I can give my money to a bunch of scoundrels.

I am convinced that nothing crushes the entrepreneurial spirit of decent Americans like the simple fact that you work your ass off in order to support the vast unclean that are quite content to suckle off the tit of Ma gummint. The whole time listening to democrats who have the raw audacity to call a tax cut (money they never owned and weren’t entitled to in the first place) an "EXPENSE".

Rat bastards…

Aaah, those loveable libs are at it again, spreading their peace, love, and sensitive approaches to problem solving.

I notice Cafepress has yanked this off already. I'll bet someone is undergoing a rather uncomfortable bit of questioning by big men in black suits and dark glasses. I hope they make them cry like the spineless limp wristed liberal sacks of excrement that I'm sure they are.

Vintage Coulter

I'm a bit late on this and, no, I'm not sorry. Not even a little, deal with my inefficiencies.

"The escape and capture of Brian Nichols shows women playing roles they should not (escorting dangerous criminals) and women playing roles they do best (making men better people). Nichols' murderous rampage began when he took the gun from a 5-foot-tall grandmother who was his sole guard at the Fulton County Courthouse. It ended when an otherwise unremarkable 26-year-old woman appealed to the Christian conscience of this same violent killer holding her hostage."

Go get your daily dose of Coulterage (pies are optional). Then come directly back here and help raise my hitcount. Be gone you!

Blood Pressure

I’m being harassed. I hear the familiar vacant static on the telephone followed by a click, pause, and a human voice obviously programmed to utter the same phrases repeatedly over an eight hour shift. “Hello may I please speak with Robert”. Often I am standing at the kitchen counter with the headset cradled between my shoulder and ear, chef knife in hand while deftly stepping over and around four dogs jockeying for position directly under my feet. Somehow they’ve gotten my cell phone number and I endure the same scenario as I fumble to answer the phone while switching gears, steering, and avoiding oncoming traffic. I hear the same familiar monotone voice after being interrupted in a meeting or at work. “Why do you insist on calling my cell phone after I’ve asked you a thousand times to only call me at home, why, why, WHY”, I plead. I come home to the familiar orange glow of the telephone answering machine informing me that there are messages. I hit the play button and shudder as the monotony drones on and on.

I know what you’re thinking, put yourself on the no call list, or pay your credit card bills and the calls will stop. I only wish that it were so for these harassing phone calls are not made by pushy telemarketers or bill collectors though I am guilty of bringing this misery upon myself and my family. My crime? Since my high school days, I have donated blood. Not every six weeks, but whenever I see an opportunity and I have time. It’s painless, and it makes me feel like I’m doing something to help someone else. For this reason alone, I am subject to endless pandering, from my kitchen, from my car, at my job, while I’m away from home. Two, sometimes three times a week I deal with shameless invasions of my privacy by complete strangers pleading for access to my very life fluid.

Donating blood used to be so much simpler. Drop by the local Red Cross, go through the interview, and let them stick you in the arm. Now I receive the endless series of phone calls from the Central Blood Bank asking me to make a specific appointment to give my own blood away. If I agree, then I receive not one, but TWO follow up reminder calls in regard to my appointment and telling me to be sure to eat and drink something before I go. It has seriously become a source of angst in my life. I feel pressured, agitated, and harassed. I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling my cell phone yet they continue to call that number. It continues at a more and more frenzied pace until I actually have the time to make a donation. Then, blessed silence; for six weeks until I am eligible to donate again and the cursed cycle begins all over again.

I consider myself a compassionate person. I want to do the right thing and I take a certain amount of pride in donating blood. On 9/12/2001 I was in a cot with a needle in my veins. It’s the least I can do and I realize that I’m only a traffic miscue away from needing a donor to come to my aid. However, I can say without a doubt, Central Blood Bank’s telephone solicitation has actually discouraged me, to a huge degree, from giving blood. I used to feel sympathetic to everything they stood for, now I get annoyed when I even think about giving blood. The endless telephone calls are like a pushy stranger poking me in the back of the neck with his finger, “do you want to donate blood, we really need blood, can you make an appointment, don’t forget your appointment, please remember to eat and drink”. It’s maddening, and it’s the wrong approach.
