Second Hand Science
I pulled these "facts" from the American Lung Association's website:
Secondhand smoke causes approximately 3,400 lung cancer deaths and 22,700-69,600 heart disease deaths in adult nonsmokers in the United States each year.
I guess the big question here is how on earth can they prove this? I'll answer, they can't.
A study found that nonsmokers exposed to environmental smoke were 25 percent more likely to have coronary heart diseases compared to nonsmokers not exposed to smoke.
"A study". okay... I'd be interested to compare this particular study with a study that compares smokers, non-smokers, and median incomes, and coronary heart diseases. I'll bet that low income people are more likely to have coronary heart diseases. I'll bet that there are more low income people that smoke than high income people. So it stands to reason, using the logic above, that low income causes smoking. So does low income also cause coronary heart diseases? Is it possible that there might be just a few lifestyle issues we're not considering in this study? A study can find whatever it wants. I'm going to conduct a study that shows that eating chocolate cake while lieing in a warm bath increases my life expectancy due to another study that states that high stress lowers life expectancy. More cake in the bath = less stress = I stay young FOREVER ha haahahaahaaa!!!
Nonsmokers exposed to secondhand smoke at work are at increased risk for adverse health effects. Levels of ETS in restaurants and bars were found to be 2 to 5 times higher than in residences with smokers and 2 to 6 times higher than in office workplaces.
I used to work in a lot of restaurants. No offense to anyone here that might work in a bar or restaurant but a lot of the people I worked with drank. Alot. And used drugs. And ate poorly and rarely exercised. Besides, what the hell is an adverse health effect? Stepping in front of a bus places me at risk for adverse health effects too.
This "study", listed on the website for the leading opponent of smoking in America, really says nothing about the actual effects of second hand smoke because the effects of second hand smoke are next to impossible to study. You cannot eliminate nearly enough x-factors to call a study credible. It is all guess work. Now, I agree in principle that second hand smoke CANNOT be a good thing. Besides, it's unpleasant for those who don't smoke. I just find it unbelievably irresponsible for the American Lung Association to publish rubbish like that and pretend it is fact. It is not fact, it is opinion, plain and simple. It is politically powerful opinion. It is also very bad science of which there seems to be an overabundance of in today's media. But that is a rant for another day I'm afraid. The fact remains that people who live relatively clean lifestyles die all the time. You cannot take one of those individuals and say, secondhand smoke caused the coronary heart disease that killed that person. Unless you've got another agenda. Studies are funded. People who fund studies want results and often they care about those results. The people conducting the studies understand where the money comes from. Studies will always find something.

The esteemed Republican Senator, Arlen "The Rino" Specter, made the news yesterday by informing President Bush that he is not the only decision maker in Iraq. Today, our enemies in the Arab world have been encouraged, again, by the stupid antics of our stupid leadership in Washington to renew their war efforts against the United States. When are the fools, both Republican and Democrat, in Washington going to wake up to the fact that their actions have a direct bearing on our survival, both individually and as a nation? With Democrats acting as traitors, and Republicans acting as spineless jellyfish, we're really in deep trouble. John "Hanoiboy" Kerry goes overseas and gives aid and comfort to our enemies, something he's been doing for most of his life, and Specter opens his stupid yap here in America and accomplishes the same exact thing. If we have any REAL leaders in Washington left, they better start realizing that they are all that's left to ensure there is an America in the future that is at least a little like the America our Founding Fathers gave us. The Senators in ancient Rome had the courage to actually stick a knife in their antagonists. Today, we're "civilized" and past that stage. At least the Romans were honest in their dealings with each other. Today, we've replaced the assassin's blade with character assassination using voice recording and video recording. How foul. Our own quest for power and fame is going to end up killing us all, and the people who were elected to protect us are the ones who will get us killed.

Well, people, the Democrats are back in power, at least they think they are, and supposedly well on their way to rectify the Culture of Corruption through Democrat's brand of "ethics reform." Claiming credit is the new mustang from the Far Left, Barack "Bobblehead" Obama (D-IL). "Now that the dust has settled and the new Congress is underway," he stated, "we need to get down to business and show Americans that we are responding to their call for change. We now have the opportunity to give the American people what they deserve and demanded in November--real ethics and lobbying reform that holds their elected officials to the highest ethical standards." Stirring words, I must say. But last week Obama endorsed Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley for re-election this spring, even though his administration is filled with corruption and corrupted men. And then there's that paragon of moral strength, Harry Ratface Reid. This paragon of human dignity is again facing the embarrassment of a shady land deal. It's obvious why he represents such a large state as Nevada. New Jersey is much too small for his land grabbing plans. You've got to hand it to Reid. With a record like his, to claim that he is the champion of a new day of congressional ethics takes a lot of brass. He could prove it by resigning. Or Democrats could prove it by giving him the heave-ho as majority leader. But we know that will never happen. Reid is a Democrat, and things are DIFFERENT if you're a Democrat. And then there's ol' Hillary. You know Hillary...that pillar of womanhood with the two-timing spouse more famous than Mr. Limbaugh when it comes to fine cigars. Well, it seems that during her recent visit to Iowa she spoke out in favor of increasing American production of ethanol to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. At the State Capital of Des Moines, she said, "I believe we’ve got to take a strong stand on limiting our dependence on foreign oil. And we have a perfect example here in Iowa about how it can work with all of the ethanol that’s being produced here.” According to an article in the Chicago Tribune cited in a release from the Republican National Committee, Clinton "took questions and spoke of boosting production of ethanol.” But as a Senator from New York, Clinton has voted at least 17 times against measures promoting ethanol production, the RNC noted. During a question-and-answer session in 2004, Clinton was asked about "her outspoken opposition to legislation that would double the use of ethanol as a gasoline additive,” the Des Moines Register reported at the time. "She was momentarily stumped by a question as to why she opposed the ethanol mandate, but then said she was concerned that it would raise gasoline prices for her constituents.” Clinton reportedly said: "I have to look to first protecting and supporting the needs of the people I represent right now.” In 2002, Clinton even signed a letter that read in part: "There is no sound public policy reason for mandating the use of ethanol.” Typical for both a Clinton and a Democrat, just stick the "Public Opinion Indicator" up and see what direction the political winds are blowing. Democrats can be identified by their wind-burned index finger. Meanwhile, Senator John "Hanoiboy" Kerry is back overseas doing what comes naturally for the bum...badmouthing his own country and calling America a pariah to our enemies. Ya know, he took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Gee, he fits both categories. Someone needs to fit him for a hemp necktie. He should have assumed room temperature about 40 years ago when his traitorous behavior began. And guess who has forgotten all about her apology about her behavior when Hanoiboy was just an amateur traitor? Yep, Hanoi Jane is back! She claims the Radical Right (THAT'S ME!!!!!) lied about her years ago, but she just HAS to come out of retirement to speak out against the war. I told you, it's time for bell-bottoms and flowers in your hair again! The old hag doesn't know she lost all relevance years ago. And speaking about retirement, the nag Barbaro has been put to death, and the Left is in tears over the death of a stupid horse. This is a perfect example of their crazy ideas. They didn't raise an eyebrow over the murder of Terry Schievo, or not a peep over killing millions of unborn babies, but a HORSE? Crazed lunatics, there's no other description for such idiocy. Get your guns cleaned and oiled. I believe we're going to be needing them sometime soon.

President Bush to Democrats-"I'm the Decision Maker!"

My Man finally grew some backbone today. "I've picked the plan that I think is most likely to succeed," he said in an Oval Office meeting with senior military advisors. He also had strong words for both Republicans and Democrats who are preparing to oppose his decision to send additional troops to Iraq. "I know there is skepticism and pessimism and that some are condemning a plan before it's even had a chance to work," the president said. "They have an obligation and a serious responsibility therefore to put up their own plan as to what would work." We all know what he meant by that. Democrats have no plan. Never did, never will. All they can do is whine and whimper. The President met with Lt. General Petraeus, the new commander of U.S. troops in Iraq. The General should be commended for his outstanding ability to withstand sheer stupidity when, earlier in the day, the Senators who will vote to on a non-binding symbolic resolution condemning the Iraq war hipocritically wished the General "Godspeed" as he prepares to engage in the war to protect us. It never fails to amaze me how a slimey, gooey Democrat can manage to speak out of both sides of their mouth at the same time, and how stupid, crass brainless Liberals in the country are so blind by their crazed ideals not to see it. "As the president I must make sure he has everything he needs, that he thinks he needs, to succeed in the mission that we have sent him on," the president said. "I look forward to working with you to make sure that our generals and our troops that we put into harm's way have the support of the United States Congress." I'm sure he knows that is not going to happen. He is actually naming the Congress so that when they fail to support the troops, he can point to this statement. Americans need to realize that there is just one Commander-in-Chief, and it ain't Ted Kennedy, Pigface Pelosi or Ratface Reid. It's President Bush. President Bush will also have to make all the decisions concerning Iran. If Democrats really, REALLY want to help him in these difficult times, maybe they could consider putting the back-stabbing knives away, and trying something almost unknown to Liberals...saying a prayer for their President.

What ever will we do? John "Hanoiboy" Kerry has decided the time isn't right for him to run for President again. Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) amazingly shows us his vast stupidity with the following statement:
“My initial reaction to Senator Kerry’s decision is one of extreme sadness. John Kerry is a major voice in American politics and the country would be much better off today if he were President. It is great news that John will be seeking re-election and I know his influence will continue to grow in the Senate and in America.”
This statement not only shows Biden's lack of intelligence, but also proves that Democrats have no sense of patriotism and morality. The "major voice" he speaks about was a voice of treason, cowardice and lies, all traits common to 99% of all Democrats. Pollster Mark Schulman has been quoted as saying, "He can read numbers as well as anybody else and as far as votes are concerned, he has barely made a ripple in the campaign." Mr. Schulman said the problem is exacerbated by the fact that voters know Mr. Kerry and simply don't like him. Finally, someone who has a clue. What he failed to mention is, once someone knows ANY Democrat, they won't like him or her. Democrats are stuck in a set mentality and are incapable of moving into the present. Did you hear Webb's rebuttal to President Bush's State of the Union Address? In lockstep, the Liberal mantra was repeated...President Bush led us into war recklessly. (SHHHHHH, keep it to yourself that this could also apply to all the slimey Democrats who also voted to go to war...) A month or two ago, didn't Ratface Reid say he was in favor of increasing the troop level in Iraq? Typically, he flip-flopped, and now is against it. Partisan politics, as usual. You can always tell a Democrat. They all have windburned index fingers. Democrats like Joe Biden are pushing to advance a non-binding and symbolic resolution to show their contempt of the plan to increase the troop levels in Iraq. Such shallow tactics reflect the fact that Democrats lack substance, have no standards and are devoid of values. The only relevant thing to a Democrat is to maintain power, increase POWer, and to never relinquish POWER. They are willing to endure any sacrifice, make up any falsehood, stab anyone in the back, witness another domestic attack by our enemies-in short, absorb any cost-to maintain power. They will discard anyone or anything that hinders their quest. Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman will attest to that. The Democratic Party is a contrived organization, which has no core values and stand for...uhhhhhh...NOTHING. They are like Mighty Mouse in New York City on Thanksgiving morning...something that looks powerful and right, but in reality is just a bag of gas. In closing, consider this. Western civilization has been engaged in warfare with the Moslem world for hundreds of years. That is a fact. The Crusades were among the conflicts between the two ideologies. Arab nations have been attempting world domination for all these hundreds and hundreds of years. Jihad is a reality. Jihad is a religion that states you, YOU, must either be a Moslem, or you must be dead. It is a holy war. If we wait for a Democrat to lead us in an effort to stop the Moslem world, we might as well put our head on the chopping block and avoid all the trouble. And, if the United States is not willing to stand up to the Moslem world, WHO WILL???? Do you think Germany, France or England will stop them? If we don't stop tiptoeing around the fact that these people want to K I L L us, and start treating this war like it's a war, we're dead. If we don't stop shooting ourselves in the foot, and handicapping our armed forces in their efforts to win, we're walking dead people. That is a fact, and Democrats better stop their treasonous antics and start facing reality.

Well, the end is near, I fear. The Democrats are high-fiving each other over their treasonous victories, the Republicans are pointing fingers, and there is absolutely no good Conservative leaders anywhere to be found. Giuliani and McCain are the front-runners for the Republican Party, and Clinton is "running to win." If either Giuliani or McCain wins the nomination, the Republicans will lose the election and we'll be mired under another eight years with a Clinton in the White House, a fate second only to a surrender to Islam. Americans refuse to fight their enemies, the Chinese are stealing our oil from the Gulf of Mexico, Mexicans are victoriously invading our nation, Chavez is still ranting about how evil America is, and Iran is going to have the nuke soon, ready to destroy America and Israel. Democrats are all smiles because they have just about ensured that we will lose the war on terror, we are going to have huge tax increases rammed down our throats, their war on "big oil" will ensure we pay over $3.00 a gallon at the pump, and the economy will be destroyed, but few people realize or care, because the most important thing in their teeney little lives is "American Idol." The minimum wage will increase, meaning increased prices for everybody on every product you buy, rent or lease. College students don't know who the Secretay of State is, but knows every word of the latest rap song. I watched the Democrats after the State of the Union address fighting to get pictures taken with President Bush, even though they hate his guts. I watched Democrats sitting on their hands while President Bush talked about saving us from the terrorists. I remember when President Bush warned us the war would be long and hard, with victories unseen and heroes unknown. All irrelevant to Democrats. They will drag us into abject defeat, and scream when the terrorists hit us again that Bush failed to protect us. They refuse victory, and embrace defeat. After 9-11, they stood toe-to-toe to tell us that Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, and were a threat. Now, Bush lied and they want out. I'm about sick to death with the whole thing. We're going to have socialized medicine, socialized education and socialized welfare for everybody. Maybe a couple of nukes going off will wake people up to what's going on here. Hillary will be President, she will have hit squads out to rid her of her enemies, Bill will be renting out the Lincoln Bedroom to more Chinese spies, they will be able to steal all the china from the White House again, and trash Air Force One. Bill will be able to corner another sweet young thing in the Oval Office, and enjoy a fine cigar, and Hillary will play dumb when some White House advisor is found dead in a small park somewhere around Washington. Hillary will be able to find such fine Cabinet people such as Sandy Burglar and Jocelyn Elders. It'll be the good ol' days revisited, only it will be Hillary standing up to the terrorists. Gee, that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. She couldn't stop her philandering husband. OK, you lousy Democrats, you got what you wanted. Now, enjoy the sleeze coming down the road for all of us.

Will The Democrats Have a Meltdown? Here's Hoping...

There is a tantalizing theory out there at the present time that the Democrats may be facing imminent meltdown over Iraq. President Bush's plan for a "surge" in troops is causing the Democrat leadership, enjoying their recent victory, to take symbolic steps to protest war policy, creating much displeasure among their looney left radical moonbat followers. So, the Democrats, hopefully, will mark their battle lines and form a circular firing squad. The battle will be between the new left and the party establishment. Hopefully, with a teeeeny bit of luck, Ratface Reid and Pigface Pelosi will squander their pull with their supporters by failing to cut back, or end, funding for the war. The moonbat left, made up of such dangerous organizations such as Moveon.org, contains many heavyweight goofs such as Ted "Swimslikeaduck" Kennedy and that world renowned traitor, John "Hanoiboy" Kerry. The plan is to allow President Bush enough rope to hang himself when the increase in troop strength in Iraq fails. The Democrats need the plan to fail, hence their legitimate label of "traitor." However, they can't be accused of "selling the troops out" by cutting their funding or forcing the Bush administration to retreat. Nor are they prepared for a constitutional war over the commander-in-chief's wartime powers. So, instead, the Democrats will hold lots of worthless and time-consuming hearings with a host of former generals voicing their anger over the war. But, and here's the beauty of the whole thing, the wacko's on the far left expect the Democrats to enact wacko laws, not put on a show on the Senate floor. People like Sheehan will react loudly to the increased troop commitment. New civil disobedience and marches and protests will blossom across America. The 60's will be rekindled, and all the crazies on the left will be able to drag out their old bellbottoms, put flowers back in their hair, sing reminescently about San Francisco, and dream about Woodstock. Americans, however, have seen their stupid acts and remember the 60's and all this will backfire on the Democrats, and they will FINALLY, once and for all, slink into the recesses of history. Isn't that a fabulous story? Let's keep hoping for the best here.

Typical of socialists the world over, if your opposition is opinionated against you, you do what is necessary to silent your enemies. The similarities between Chavez and Radio Caracas and the Democrats intentions to silent Conservative talk radio is nothing short of spectacular. As he moves closer to pure socialism, Chavez has declared war on freedom of speech in Venezuela, similar to the war soon to be engaged in by socialist Democrats here in America. Chavez has decided that Venezuela's oldest TV station must go off the air on May 28. Their days are numbered. Squeal, kick, whatever they do: the license of that fascist channel is gone," Chavez said Saturday. "RCTV's signal will be nationalized for Venezuelans," says Chavez. Another similarity to Democrats, you must label your opposition as fascists. Democrats do that all the time. The move against RCTV won't likely end Chavez's efforts to rewrite the rules that govern Venezuela's airwaves. Another frequent forum for opposition views is 24-hour all-news channel Globovision. Without elaborating, Telecommunications Minister Jesse Chacon said authorities want to set up "a structure in which the media owner isn't the owner of 24-hour messages, 365 days a year." RCTV, Globovision and two other channels are what Chavez has called the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." He has accused RCTV of one-sided coverage and said the channels effectively supported a short-lived 2002 attempted coup by broadcasting cartoons and movies instead of the street protests that aided his return to power. Pro-Chavez mobs gathered outside RCTV and other stations during the coup, shouting insults and in some cases hurling rocks. Two of those four channels have since toned down their criticism, while RCTV and Globovision have stayed their course despite sometimes-violent demonstrations. During pro-Chavez protests in 2004, an Associated Press reporter watched as a Chavez supporter fired shots at RCTV's studios while others rammed an ice cream truck into the wall, then set the truck afire. So, get ready, folks. If the Democrats get their way, we will soon be experiencing the same future here in the "land of the free." Socialist Democrats will be doing their very best to shut down all opposing views to their illegal and immoral behavior.

Fourteen Members of Carter Center's Advisory Board Resign
Jimmy Carter's new book, "Palestine Peace Not Apartheid," contains many serious factual mistakes and his opinions expressed within the pages don't address the actual reality of Israel's security concerns. On Thursday, January 11, 2007 fourteen members of his advisory board resigned, telling Carter in a letter, "We can no longer endorse your strident and uncompromising position. This is not the Carter Center or the Jimmy Carter we came to respect and support." Last month, a fellow at the Carter Center named Ken Stein turned in his resignation in which he said that the book was "replete with factual errors, copied materials not cited, superficialities, glaring omissions and simply invented segments." Carter has built up a reputation over the years as a man dedicated to saving lives in the Middle East and bringing peace to the area. In typical Liberal gobbledegoop, he refuses to deal with reality, and instead makes up facts and figures to fit his perception of reality. Liberals do this in everything they concern themselves with, from global warming to minimum wage to the war in Iraq. Forget the facts, go with your fuzzy-wuzzy feelings, and don't offend anyone. The present failing of Carter to address reality is a perfect example of the entire Liberal population which has been infected with simpering stupidity. Carter's type of lunacy is getting so far from reality that even fellow looney Libs who have supported him are finally realizing that his brand of Liberalism is far from reality. Carter is obsessed with a desire to save lives in the Middle East, but fails to address the present lunatic who is the President of Iran desiring to wipe Israel off the map. Iran is also presently embarked on a rush to gain a nuclear weapon, and when they possess it, they willl use it before the paint dries. Recently, Israel gave up all of Gaza in an effort to generate a peace in the region. The Palestinian response was to launch over 1200 rockets into Israel. It is nothing short of amazing that so many people in this country forget that 3000 of their countrymen were murdered for the crime of being Americans. Where we used stand together in righteous anger to oppression and tyranny, we now cower as simpering cowards. Instead of showing a solid wall of defiance to our would-be killers, we point fingers and slink into dark corners, blaming the people who work to protect us of being warmongers and fools. Stupid Liberals refuse to see the fact that negotiating and pleading with monsters for peace only entices them to sharpen their swords. United Nations sanctions have never stopped a terrorist, and it never will. Only a bullet stops terrorism. Until we bleed from a life-threatening wound, and Liberals face actual death at the hands of our enemies, they will continue to whine and blame and point fingers at the ones who stand between them and the knife at their throats.

Category 4 Hurricane and Category 5 Snowstorm...A Comparison in Sanity

Denver, Colorado has suffered through a snowstorm of epic proportions recently. Cars are stranded in snow drifts of up to ten feet deep. More snow is on the way, and up to 24 more inches may pile on top of the 44 inches already accumulated. Winds howl at over 90 MPH, snapping trees and power poles like matchsticks. Hundreds of motorists are stranded, and thousands of residents are without electrical power. The area blasted by this storm is at least as large as the area devestated by Katrina. The media coverage of this disaster, however, is quite different. George Bush did not leave Washington to visit the area. FEMA has not responded at all. There has been no coverage of rioting or looting because it hasn't happened. The mayor of Denver didn't go whining for help, and he didn't use federal personnel and equipment for personal and illegal activities. Neither Jesse Jackson nor Al Sharpton arrived to interject their usual racial rants. Governor Bill Owens, a Republican, naturally, did not blame President Bush or FEMA for failure to do their jobs. CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC failed to visit or report on this category 5 snowstorm. No one has received, nor will they receive, a $2,000 debit card to provide instant gratification for illicit activities. No one has asked for, nor will they receive, a FEMA house trailer to live in. No stores or business districts have been struck by rioters or looters. No one expected the federal government to "rescue" them. Larry King, Oprah, Chris Matthews, Geraldo, Shaun Penn, Barbara Streisand, George Clooney, Alec Baldwin and all the other Liberal Hollywood knotheads have not uttered a peep. Truck owners have rescued stranded motorists by pulling their vehicles from the snowdrifts without being paid a cent for their time or for their concern. Local restaurants provided food which the local police and fire departments delivered it to people stuck in buildings all over the area. The people of Colorado, which happens to be a "red state," knew that they needed to depend on themselves to get out of the mess, not some government agency. A local resident of the area was quoted as saying, " I have noticed that once one gets north of about 48 degrees North Latitude, 90% of the world's social problems evaporate." I'll bet if people were to visit the Denver area in a year or so, the devastation wrought from this fierce and deadly storm will be all cleaned up, because the people who live there will depend on themselves to get the situation under control. I'm sure if you go to New Orleans ten years from now, the people will still be sitting around with their thumbs in an awkward place waiting for the government to bail them out. Such is the difference between a RED state and a BLUE state.

President Bush's "Escalation" of the War in Iraq
I get a kick out of the way Liberals choose a word or phrase to hammer their opposition and proceed to have it issue forth from every Liberal mouth. Today's word is "escalation." The intention is to try to portray President Bush's policy toward Iraq as an enlargement of the war because he wants to send in an additional 20000 troops. The first day the Reid-Pelosi regime took over, they sent a letter to the President telling him they intended to block reinforcements to Iraq, regardless of the consequences to our men and women in harm's way. This document is one of the most shameful documents in the history of our national government...no small accomplishment. The Pelosi-Reid cohorts claimed to want to "do everything we can to help Iraq succeed in the future." They claimed that adding more combat troops would only "endanger more Americans and stretch our military to the breaking point for no strategic gain." They said the "way forward is to begin the phased redeployment of our forces in the next 4 to 6 months..." and called for a "renewed diplomatic strategy..." "In short, it is time to begin to move our forces out of Iraq...it is time to bring the war to a close." Here is where their true hipocrisy shows. They attempt to put their opposition to additional troops in the mouths of the generals serving in Iraq. This is nothing short of an attempt to undermine civilian control of the military. And it's not the first time out of this gate, either. Remember their efforts to stir up animosity among retired generals against Secretary Rumsfeld? This is really quite remarkable, especially since they spent so much of the past campaign complaining about the conduct of the war by the very same generals they now cite as authorities! Make no mistake here. No one is insinuating that the situation in Iraq is easy or lacking in difficulty or sacrifice. But imagine how different today's world would be if this same strategy demanded by Liberal Democrats had been enacted in the past. Democrats would have told the King of France that his failed policies in North America would not allow him to escalate France's interdiction in the war between the factions in the New World of Great Britain and the American rebels. Yorktown would never have been fought or won. Thank you, Liberal swine. Or, another example, Liberal surrender doctrine had applied to America forbidding American forces to engage between the warring factions of Great Britain and the Nazi's of Germany. I leave it to your imagination. The bottom line is this. It is nothing short of stunning to imagine how our division over the war on terror is being analyzed in some dark, dreary caves presently being used as command centers by Al Qaeda. Or, how this quaking cowardice is being used to embolden the nutjob presently controlling the nuclear strings of Iran. Americans still possess a sense of history, regardless that Liberals are working to erase it. Consider this...we just buried a President of the United States who will be remembered for many things. He fought against a Congress that was determined to cut off our GIs and our friends and allies during a long and bitter fight. President Ford lost that fight, and that loss to both America and to freedom around the world still haunts us today. The name of America and everything she stands for was tarnished and the shine still hasn't been replaced. The next election will revolve around the war in Iraq, and the war on terror, which is one and the same thing. I said it before and I say it again right now. The problem isn' t that we are in a tough and lengthy war. The problem is that we are not fighting it in a manner conducive to victory. When and where we finally get it into our minds that we need to be just as vicious and just as nasty as our enemies, and our objective is unconditional surrender, this war on terror will stretch out for years and years and years, and our young people will bleed and die for years and years and years. If we had utterly destroyed Iraq, pulverized every city and town into dust 3 years ago, we would have achieved peace in Iraq, the surrounding countries would have been terrorized by our dominating power, Iran and North Korea would have become nonentities, our stature around the world would be immense, and Iraq would have been rebuilt by now into a dominating democracy in the region. None of these things have occurred, because we refuse act like the world power we are. Instead, we allow quivering, cowardly, traitorous Liberal Democrats to lead us by the nose down the path to defeat and destruction. I would love to see these people hanged under the Capitol dome.

The New Standard for the New Democrat Congress of Reid and Pelosi
Every day, I read both my Bible and Liberal blogs on the Intenet. There is strength in knowing BOTH sides of every issue.
In the spirit of that grand Master of Idiocy, Ted Kennedy, who never let anything as trivial as the Constitution sway him from his stupidity, I wish to propose a Constitutional amendment be passed immediately. It is time for Liberal Democrats to be defined by who they are and what they believe in, values which are totally alien to American standards and beliefs. Real Americans have long been enraged each time a Liberal Democrat is shown standing near the Stars and Stripes. Also, Liberal Democrats refuse to identify themselves as Liberals, so it should be mandatory that they be identified for what they are. My amendment would make it cumpolsory for them to rally around their personal flag of identification. The Liberal "Banderole of Unbalance" has been deriseively called a "White Flag." The Liberal pennant should be a plain white flag standing in a chilly winter location, streaming from a bamboo staff. The "Flag of Defection" and the bamboo staff symbolizes the long heritage of the Liberal Democrats dating back to their righteous stand against America during the Viet Nam war. This symbolism is sure to bring a tear to the eye of all true Liberals across the fruited plain. Next, witness the strength with which the wind is whipping the "Flag of Fear." This shows the strength of Liberalism, even in the face of what is right! The next object to ponder is the field of snow upon which the "Banner of Baloney" sits. This is reminiscent of Thomas Paines' thoughts of a "Sunshine Soldier." During the American Revolution, General Washington was plagued by soldiers who were willing to serve only when there was little or no combat. The new version, the "Winter Warrior," depicts the Liberal Champion who can never be relied upon for anything. Finally, you will notice that the "Pennant of Peace" is planted precariously halfway up a hillside. This is powerful symbolism of Liberalism's history of never finishing anything it starts. The bamboo staff should be frail and about to break. Perfect symbolism of Liberalism's desire to break the will of America to defend itself! It also congers up images of failure. Finally, no one should be visible in the entire landscape. Typically, Liberals never want to be identified as Liberals. They are liars and cheats and cowards, and the idea of being identified is loathesome to a true Believer. So there we have it. To the casual observer, the image is simply a stark picture of desolate isolation. But to a Liberal, the image is as important as the image of George Washington crossing the Delaware is to a Conservative Republican.

Encore Westerns - The Rifleman @ 1959
Our cable company carries Encore Westerns, and all this month they are featuring episodes from Chuck Connor’s television series, “The Rifleman.” I caught one of the shows last night, and it touched me. The story revolved around the murder of a witness to a murder, in an effort to keep the man from testifying at the trial. The Rifleman happened to have seen the man previously to his demise in the company of the victim who he was supposed to have testified at the trial for. This put The Rifleman in the dubious situation of taking the murdered man’s place as a witness. Connors also has a son who is about 12 years old in the series. All his friends and acquaintances advise him to forget all about what he witnessed, because the risks of his being killed before the trial, which is to take place in a different city, are too great. What will happen to Mark if his father is killed? The Rifleman says, paraphrasing, “I have lived by principles all my life, and I have raised Mark to live by principles, too.” The older woman he is speaking to says, “Principles will get you killed, and Mark will suffer. Just this once, bend your principles, and don’t go.” Connors replies, “If you bend your principles, they are no longer principles.” What a powerful statement! This program was produced and televised in 1959. Compare this program to the pap we are supplied with as entertainment on television today. The Rifleman, and every other program provided to our young children in the ‘50’s and early ‘60’s contained a lesson in morality and proper conduct. Today, we allow ourselves to become immersed with self-centered and ego-inflating crap such as “American Idol” which teaches greed and self-importance. Just for the fun of it, I ask everyone who reads this article to try something. Spend an hour of your important television viewing schedule tonight to look up an old television program being televised somewhere on your cable network. I challenge you to watch, listen, and pay attention to the meat of the story. Compare that to what our government tells us and the direction our country is heading. I think you might be enlightened.

Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi- "A New Direction for America"
The DemocRATS are all set to exert their political muscle in Washington, and all America is excited over the New Direction they will lead our nation in. Here is how the future shapes up under their leadership into a New Direction. We know that the stock market is at a new all time high. A NEW direction means an end to the growth. Look for a decline in financial matters in the next couple of years. Unemployment is at a twenty-five year low mark. A new direction means many more Americans, especially Nancy's beloved poor, will be looking for some sort of federal handout, which is what she desires. We all know that President Bush owes his soul to big oil, but prices at the gas pump are generally going down. A New Direction means we can soon expect a gallon of gasoline to zoom back up to $3.00 or more, another piece of good news! And don't forget the wealthy in America, and how they are not paying their fair share. At the present time, taxes are at a 20 year low. The good news is, this will end soon, and all of us can be proud that we will be pouring many more of our hard earned dollars back into Washington instead of into the economy! Increased taxes will decrease the federal tax revenues which are presently at all time highs, eliciting another shout of joy from all America. The federal deficit is down almost 50% as predicted over the past year. Harry Reid's New Direction will end the downward spiral, for sure. Another point. Over the past 31/2 years, the average home valuation has increased 200%. Over the next couple of years, you can expect the value of your home to go into the crapper, thanks the the DemocRATS New Direction! America has experienced a very, very low rate of inflation. Remember the Misery Index? Thank you, Harry and Nancy, we will soon be enjoying our misery again. Speaking of misery, the United States has not suffered a single terrorist attack on U.S. soil since September 11, 2001. A New Direction could mean unspeakable misery for untold numbers of Americans. A New Direction will certainly lead to Guantanamo Bay and the misery Al Queda's people are suffering there. Look forward to these people enjoying their newly gained civil liberties under American law, even though they are not legally eligible for these rights. Ratface Reid has been exuberant over the success of the DemocRATS to kill the Patriot Act. This New Direction brought to you by the brilliant Harry Reid means an end to our ability to stop terrorist attacks, another victory for every American. We have already enjoyed the first glimpse of what Pelosi's New Direction will be like. Remember when Rush was in trouble for an addiction to a pain reliever, a legal drug? Why, every DemocRAT in America was screaming for his imprisonment and exile into oblivion. Does this same clamor for justice apply to Barack Obama's admission to using and being addicted to illegal drugs? Of COURSE not. If you are a DemocRAT, things are DIFFERENT! NO, in Osama...I mean Obama's case, this admission is "refreshing" and "enlightening." A perfect example of their "New Direction" and what it is going to be like. And they have a Plan for all our concerns. Nancy, Hillory, John, Edward, Howard, Harry and Obama have my every need addressed. They will introduce a comprehensive National Security Plan, National Health Plan, National Immigration Reform Plan, National Gay Rights Plan, Same Sex Marriage Plan, National Abortion-on-Demand Plan, National Tolerance of Everything and Everyone Plan, National Return All Troops the the U.S. Within Six Months Plan, National Get Tough Plan, National Become Wealthy Plan and the National No More George Bush's Katrina Disaster Plan. AHHHHhhh, Peace in Our Time. Thank you, DemocRATS, for all your concern for my welfare.
